Main Item List Page
This is the main item list screen. It is the first thing displayed when the application opens. It is the list of all of the items you have entered in the application. You can use the bar at the top to filter the items by type. The colors along the left edge of the screen also indicate the type.
The colors at the right edge of the screen indicate the rating for the cooked item – red = didn’t work well, gray = worked, green = worked well.
Click any of the items to be taken to the Item Details Page.
Item Details Page
When you click on an item in the Main Item List Page, you are taken to the Item Details Page. It displays the details of an individual item in the application.
On this page you can update the name of the item and item type directly. Click SAVE to save any changes made.
You can navigate to three other pages:
The Setup Details Page (first arrow) where you can update the rating, setup notes, cook date and setup photo.
The Targets Page (second arrow) where you can update the target temperatures for the grill, the item and the target cook time.
The Measurements Page (third arrow) where you can start the timer for cooking and add individual measurements at a specific time for the item temperature, grill temperature, and indicate if the item was flipped.
Add New Item
Click on the “+” sign in the upper right corner of the screen.
In the popup, enter a descriptive name of the item such as “Small Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast”.
Click SAVE to create the new item. The application will navigate to the Item Details Page so you can continue entering the details about the item.
Update Item Name, Type
On the Item Details Page, you can directly edit the Name and the item type (beef, poultry, pork…).
Click on SAVE to save your changes.
Update Item Rating, Setup Photo, Setup Notes, or Cook Date
From the Item Details Page, click on the first right arrow to navigate to the Setup Details Page.
On the Setup Details Page, click on the appropriate rating at the top.
Click on the CHANGE PHOTO button to change the photo. Photos can come directly from the camera or from your existing photos using the Gallery function.
Click on the COOK DATE to change the cook date. Use the picker to select the appropriate date and click DONE once the correct date is selected.
Click on the text box to enter notes or details about the grilling setup used for the item. Click on the DONE button on the keyboard when you are done typing notes.
When you are done making changes, click SAVE in the upper right corner.
Update Target Item Temperature, Target Grill Temperature, or Target Cook Time
From the Item Details Page, click on the second right arrow to navigate to the Targets Page.
Enter the TARGET GRILL TEMPERATURE using either the slider bar or the text box. The value changes in increments of five. If you use the textbox to enter the value, click on the DONE button on the keyboard to update the value. The minimum value is zero (NA) and the maximum value is 900 degrees.
Enter the TARGET ITEM TEMPERATURE using either the slider bar or the text box. The value changes in increments of five. If you use the textbox to enter the value, click on the DONE button on the keyboard to update the value. The minimum value is zero (NA) and the maximum value is 200 degrees.
Click on the VALUE for the TARGET COOK TIME and a picker will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Use the wheels to select the hours, minutes and seconds for the cook time. Click DONE to save the cook time value.
When you are done making changes, click SAVE in the upper right corner.
Start Timer and Record Measurements for Item
From the Item Details Page, click on the third right arrow to navigate to the Measurements Page.
Click on the CHANGE PHOTO button to change the photo. Photos can come directly from the camera or from your existing photos using the Gallery function.
START, RESET and STOP buttons control the Timer. START the Timer when you place the item on the grill. Then immediately click RECORD MEASUREMENT to indicate the starting temperature of the grill.
Below the Timer row there is a row for each measurement recorded. You cannot edit measurements. Rather, delete the measurement by sliding to the left and then add a new measurement updating the time for the measurement if needed.
If the item was flipped, the row has a vertical gray/brown bar on the left side as an indicator.
Click on RECORD MEASUREMENT to create a new measurement entry for the item. The Item Measurement Page is displayed.
Use the toggle at the top to indicate whether or not the item was FLIPPED or DIDNT FLIP.
Enter the GRILL TEMPERATURE using either the slider bar or the text box. The value changes in increments of five. If you use the textbox to enter the value, click on the DONE button on the keyboard to update the value. The minimum value is zero (NA) and the maximum value is 900 degrees.
